This Sunday afternoon Pacific division contest is a rematch of the best and worst teams. Phoenix is creeping ever closer to Dallas for the number one spot in the Western Conference with the number one offense and the top field goal percentage team in league. Amare Stoudemire is becoming being near impossible to guard with Steve Nash finding him in open spots. Shawn Marion’s name is not mentioned as often with Amare back, that doesn’t mean the former UNLV star is any less effective. His defensive prowess has some calling for him to be defensive player of the year. It has been another forgettable year in Sac-Town who at least continues to play well at home, especially compared to undesirable road record. Sacramento’s weak perimeter defense is a real issue, being 25th in three-point defense, playing against the Suns who are easily the finest 3-point shooting team in NBA. The Kings and Phoenix will both have two days off between games, with the Suns only 4-4 ATS and Sacramento is 5-8-2 against the spread. Look for Steve Nash to once again lead his team to victory on the road being the 2nd best road spread covering team. The StatFox Power Ratings give Phoenix a 7-point edge in this matchup.
